Home Learning
At Pebworth First School, pupils have access to Numbots, Times Tables Rock Stars plus Bug Club online to practise key skills. All pupils are issued with a username and password and then have access to personalised challenges in reading, writing and mathematics. Class Teachers monitor these closely and can see exactly how you’re getting on with the books, games and challenges so they are a great way to continue learning at home.
Valuing parental engagement, a Learning Log is sent home once a month with a range of other activities linked to our current learning project to complete at home. Once children have returned their logs, they are shared with the whole school, making positive comments and learning from each other.
In the event of school closures, home learning is provided through a combination of activities set on Bug Club and online platforms and a daily timetable of activities as closely matched to those which we would have been doing in school as possible via email. Teaching staff are also available via ClassDojo and email throughout any periods of closure to support pupils to continue to learn at home.
