At Pebworth First School, pupils have access to Education City and Bug Club online to practise key skills. All pupils are issued with a username and password and then have access to personalised challenges in reading, writing and mathematics. Class Teachers monitor these closely and can see exactly how you’re getting on with the books, games and challenges so they are a great way to continue learning at home.
We also issue a Learning Project Grid once per half term with a range of other activities linked to our current learning project to complete at home. These are then shared with staff and children who complete all tasks are entered into a prize draw!
In the event of school closures, home learning is provided through a combination of activities set on Bug Club and Education City and a daily timetable of activities as closely matched to those which we would have been doing in school as possible via email. Teaching staff are also available via ClassDojo and email throughout any periods of closure to support pupils to continue to learn at home.
Further details of our approach to home learning can be found in our home learning policy here.
